You said birthdays are 1 of the ’highest’ (usual woeful inverted garbage) days in the Satanic calendar, because they celebrate self over other- following the example of the embodiment of selfishness, Satan. Many years ago I abstained from celebrating my or other people’s birthdays, because all that obsession with self started to rile. I’m very grateful for your perspective, Jessie, but perhaps your solution is to renounce your birthday on those grounds- also removing some of its power to them

In Japan, April is the beginning of the fiscal year. School etc also starts then, new graduates start their job, people move to new apartments etc. So it feels like the start of a new year.

Ahh! Zoom bday party 🎉 sounds great except I’m travelling that week…but I’ll definitely be prayer for fun & laughs at the very least! That made me so sad about your bday Jessie 😰 perhaps celebrations are best had the weekend before. Congratulations on your award Jeff, you both deserve that recognition for being such great, interesting &. encouraging listening 💙
