So the original word for the "hanging" of Mordechai and Haman was actually "to impede" instead of hanging on gallows. Certain Bible translations have it as a literal translation because it meant literally hanging on a stick from the impeding. However, the way we translate hanging for the last 1,000+ years is to hang on a gallows. So the meaning of the word changed over time, but the original meant hanging through impeding. So Haman and fam were all impeded!!! Even crazier than we thought!!!
